West Sussex Geological Society
Here we have some of the resources that the WSGS has utilised since its formation.
The Stone Trails form the basis of local WSGS visits.
We have just recently added historical copies of "Outcrop" since the Inaugral Issue 0 in 1982 through to Winter 2012, as digital pdf versions. Additional copies will be added to the Archive Resource.
Notes as to How Flint is formed is used on Our 'Pebbles-on-the-Beach' event.
And finally there are books and maps for sale on our Chairman's website.
These are a selection of self led guides looking at building stones and local history in the local area.
They are composed by the West Sussex Geological Society and used frequently in local "Building Stone Field Trips".
All these guide are available free in the public domain for general access to directly download from our Downloads Page.
Or to view in a separate window as follows :-
An Archive Page of all historic issues from the (inaugral) issue-0 in May 1982 to (currently) issue-46 Winter 2012, in digital pdf format, are available free in the public domain for general access to view, (no login required). Further issues from number 47 Spring 2013 will be added to the archive, as and when they become available.
