New Member Application Page

This page details the benefits of becoming a Member of the WSGS and how to join -- so why not get on and join NOW.
  • Our current subscriptions are only £15 per year for an Adult Single, and £25 per year for an Adult Joint membership, and is due 1st January each year.
  • For Students in full time education the membership is £ FREE, (however "Outcrop" is limited to electronic pdf copy only).

So what do I get for my £15

  • 10 monthly meetings per year -- see our current Meetings Page with talks on varied subjects all to do with Geology / Earth Sciences, from a host of well versed speakers who are specialists in their field.
  • Access to zoom meetings (sometimes with other societies) when broadcast.
  • Inclusion in local field trips / visits mostly at no charge -- see our Events Page.
  • Receiving a printed A5 colour copy of "Outcrop", our society bi-annual magazine relating to all things Geological, Earth Sciences, with some Cosmological and Archeological input, and we encourage member submission of original articles. Check it out on our "Outcrop" Page
  • Access to previous copies of "Outcrop" (by member login) on our For Members Page.
  • Fancy a long weekend away visiting places of significant geological interest for maybe fossil collection, rock sample collection or just the sheer spectacular landscapes? Then visit our Gallery Page for a taste of previous Field Trips.
  • As the WSGS is affiliated to the Geologists' Association (GA), there is access to some GA events and Publications.
  • Join the members 'WhatsApp' group for up to date information and member discourse.
  • Finally come to our increasingly popular Social Evening, away from the more formal Face-to-Face society meeting, for maybe a meal, definately a drink (0% for nominated drivers) and continued chit-chat. Again see our Events Page.
  • Better still, come along to your first monthly meeting, at St Stephens Church, Angola Road, Worthing BN14 8DU for 7.15pm on the 3rd Friday in each month (excepting July and August for holidays), as a free guest to get a feel for the WSGS so as to consider joining. Details and a map are on our Meetings Page. There, then further details of Membership may be obtained from any Committee Member.
